Mike (or others), can you help me remember how to weave the net? I
have a good needle and a gauge. I lost the net I was working on. I
spent quite a while trying to figure it out.

I know you make a slip knot to start.

I've attempted searching the net for a good how-to--no luck. Maybe
Stace or Marc could find a written description that is like the way we
learned. My abilities on this phone are limited.

I know it is hard to write up a description for something like this.
If there's none already written, is there a good time I could call and
get help? I can spend a ton of time out here on this--I hope to get it
down. I suppose I have enough time to invent my own way. But I haven't
yet. Thanks!
Peace,
Colin

Hey Colin,

Here's a clear but illustration-based netting guide that I'd saved to my del.icio.us links, which I haven't attempted yet but it's precisely how Mike taught us:

If you can't see it on your phone, maybe someone who's meeting up with you in the forest can print it out and bring it to you?

If not, let me know and I can try to write up something for ya.

Happy trails!

Colin - can you receive photo messages on your phone?

If so, I can take and send you a few close-up photos of the illustrations!

If not, dang - back to Plan A.

List,
It's not exactly origin / aboriginal skills, but I have succeeded lately in getting myself to sit still most of the day and hand sew. I've been working on Ray Jardine's Bomber Hat (Ray-way.com). Next up the quilt. Then will probably take the tarp with me to work on in the forest. I've been listening to "the mysterious island" audiobook from librivox.org while doing so.

You're welcome to come by and hang out with me while working, just check first to make sure I'm there - 619 582 7583. - near SDSU.

Mike, it may actually be two weeks from now before I head to the forest again, and I was thinking of possibly visiting you in LA (if you were still there--glad to hear you are!) then. I'll let you know! I may just go to Mt Laguna again, however.

Peace,
Colin
