I'm working with a COTS diplexer.  I have 2 s2p files from the COM->RX and COM-TX port from the vendor but they do not have the RX->TX data, so I cannot easily use the combine n port function to generate the S3P file.  Given the fact that the isolation between the RX->TX is high (-70 dB), I figure there should be a way to approximate the 3 port response.  I could create a synthesized RX->TX response assuming S12 and S21 are -70 dB (and S11, S22 are from the 2 s-parameter files I have), but is there an easier way to do this?

thanks!

Dear Tushar,

I think the simplest is indeed to create a three ports Network, then to fill the s parameters from your knowledge.

Thanks Julien, I was afraid I would just have to brute force it like that. It might just be less effort to measure the unit properly!

Thanks!
