Scikit-HEP gitter channel?

Dear all,

how do you feel about having a Scikit-HEP gitter channel, as a further alternative to this forum. There are topics which are easier to discuss in chat and it is much easier to provide user-feedback in a chat rather than by email. We should not use the PyHEP gitter channel for this, since it is more general. The new Scikit-HEP channel would be specific for Scikit-HEP discussions.

I'd be okay with that, though I'd have to think hard about the difference between what I'd say in PyHEP vs SciKit-HEP. Maybe I'll figure it out from there time if the discussions after they start.

Hi all,

As said privately to Hans, that’s fine by me too. (I had created the forum as I’m more of an old-fashion(?) email person.).

I would use the channel for discussions very specific to the usage and details of the Scikit-HEP packages, leaving PyHEP for announcements of Scikit-HEP stuff that is of general interest, discussions that are of wider interest than the specific packages themselves, and alike.

I can create the channel later today ...
