Hi everyone,

I noticed there is a copy of jHDF in the scijava repository, but it's quite old. There are never versions available at https://wiki-bsse.ethz.ch/display/JHDF5/Download+Page

The maintainers don't seem to be uploading it to Maven central or indeed anywhere it can be easily fetched with the normal Java tooling of Maven or Gradle. I was wondering whether including a more up to date version in your repository might fall within the goals of this organisation? I think it would be useful for everyone to have an up to date version easily available for Java projects.

Best regards,
Frankie

Hi Frankie,

Thanks for checking up on this!

Certainly. I skipped the 18.09 release since it was labeled pre-release and the download page says to use 19.04. I uploaded cisd:jhdf5:19.04.0 and cisd:base:18.09.0 (which I am assuming is a pre-req). They should now be available: https://maven.scijava.org/#nexus-search;quick~cisd

Note that, if you're using HDF5 with ImageJ, according to their downloads page 14.12.6 was the last version compatible with the HDF5 ImageJ plugin.

Let me know if you run into any problems or have other requests/suggestions!

Best,
Mark
