I am trying.... :)

I am ahead of the curve re: page views vs donated money (ratio I gather is 1:1) but a way below the final total ($1.5k towards a $4k target)

Thanks Chris,

I am making use of 'payday' today too :)

Finished typing up a lab-note with a first cut of the data to whet some appetites so sending that out this evening.

There is a fine line between 'in your face as a tin rattler' and trying to get the message across.  In the UK we have a term called 'Chugged' where you have been 'mugged' by the charity staff on the high street for money.

Hi Gareth - plan now and get ready to implement a 1,2,3 final push
1) 5 days to go, almost there!
2) 3 days to go, even $20 will help!
3) tomorrow is last day! Be part of the team!
Get emails out to all friends and family and current donors. USE those list-servers.

The non-profit I worked at up until 2 months ago typically got 60% of the ANNUAL online donations in the last 5 days of the year, with a huge spike near New years eve (for tax purposes there, unfortunately this effort is not tax deductible). Don't slouch for the final push, it is the best time to get folks to pull the trigger.

Make your messages personal, emotional. You love your work and want to share an opportunity to be part of the team. "Pledge to help save the lives of research scuba divers!"
:-)
Cheers,
Chris
