I just found out that there will be a TV series from CW called Riverdale coming in 2017. I've been a Archie Comics fan all my life. I've watched all the cartoons and seen the live action versions. Even the one that had the gang 10 years or so after High School.

I don't believe in saying a show, movie, book, or whatever is bad before it comes out. From what I've read, I'm not overly excited about it. To me, the Archie Comics Universe has always been the positive, the book you feel better reading after having a bad time.

We've had TV shows that were very Archie Comics. In the 1950s it was Dobie Gillis. In the 1980s there was Saved By The Bell. They both had the spirit of Archie and the gang. The new show is on The CW and has Luke Perry as Archie's Dad. The CW has done great with other comic book inspired shows, so I will hold judgment until it comes out.

I am hoping for the best but won't be shocked if it's bad. I will give it a fair shot.

Same here. Like many of the comic book based shows, it needs to be made for the present audience and older fans like myself are normally not what they are aiming for.

I am afraid it will be filled with teenage angst and all the rest of the
current content the new shows have.
