OT: Golden Age Hero

I'm working on a story with a Public Domain hero from the Golden Age. His name is The Hand. All I know about him is his real name, his friend's name and his gimmick. He is a "supernatural" hero who fights crime somewhere in Canada (comic was published there). His gimmick was that when he fought crime he could make a ghostly hand appear. As for an image, all I could find was a head shot. He appeared in Rocket Comics from Maple Leaf Publications in 1944.

I have some ideas to use. I wanted to be sure about is look and any abilities or any villains. Thanks for any help.
