Just when I thought about getting back into comic book reading, I see an article about Cap always being a undercover Hydra Agent. I think from what little I've seen, I will pass on reading the story. If a fan like myself, who grew up reading comics decides to pass on reading new Marvel issues. What are the possibilities of a person new to comics is going to think? Do I think this will be a permanent move? I doubt it. Will all the older readers return if they change the story to something more positive? I doubt it. Both Marvel and DC have driven off most of the older fans. Between price and the story arcs, readership will continue to decrease. If I want comics now, I'll either will buy the Independents or buy bargain comics at the conventions.

End of rant.

Reminds me of when DC made Hal Jordan a bad guy. Not a good idea.

So much great work has been done over the years with Cap. No gimmick can undo all of that. This too shall pass.
