$4.99?! I'd be embarrassed to be seen with that book!

I have a DVD called Star Trek vs Star Wars somewhere around here, it wasn't
great and I wouldn't expect the book to be either, that being said if I was
there I would have bought it out of curiosity, well that and the knowledge
there's a few more buck the ex won't get lol

That being said I think both franchises are very different so I've never
really understood the rivalry between hardcore fans of either

I love both. They are different types of stories/universes, IMO. The same goes for B5, I love it too!

My wife would easily side with Trek, for me it's a harder choice. So
the decision making point is this:

Which one didn't have Ewoks? That's the one I'd choose.

You can never have one without the other, star trek influenced star wars, and helped give ILM business and feet, then star wars was the influence to bring trek back.  it goes in waves, you can't really have one without the other.  But, Trek has more content, and Trekkies and Trekkers have names... what do you call a fan of Star Wars.... exactly.

Nutty,

If only we could have Star Wars without Ewoks.

Ewoks aren't SW biggest crimes, most of those reside in the prequels!  Jar Jar Binks anyone?  Screaming baby Anikin?  Cardboard cut out adult anikin?

Hey, you won't hear me defending the prequels, but Return of the Jedi
was where I felt Lucas wasn't taking things seriously, and it largely
revolved around the Ewoks and the ridiculous surrender of armed
Stormtroopers to little furry critters... who were going to eat them
once they surrendered.

Now, would I rather see a movie of Ewoks over a movie starring Jar
Jar? Gah. That's a Sophie's choice of doom.
