The ESC (Environmental Science Center) as part of the Qatar University in Doha is looking for a scientific diver able to contribute and be active in a multicultural team.
The main responsibility of the required figure is to be the
Scientific lead for a national turtle conservation and monitoring project
during turtle reproduction season:
-Communication of data requirements and scientific protocols
to multiple survey teams.
-Standardization of data collected from multiple survey
teams.
-Compiling data and findings from statistical analyses into
regular reports to be. submitted to project funders and government partners.
-Communicate project data, results and findings to stakeholders, which includes government partners and project funders.
-Being responsible for producing scientific publications
from our turtle monitoring and conservation project.
-Work closely with department management to ensure smooth
and efficient running of the project.
Apart from the above tasks the required figure will be
involved in a few other projects and field trips such:
-Deployment and retrieval of marine monitoring equipment
(ex: ADCP RCM’s).
-Assist with the field work in a coral relocation project by
participating in regular coral outplanting and monitoring expeditions.
-Regular offshore trips on the department's research vessel.
