Stan,

Thanks! Yes. I will be 86 on July 25. Getting older every day!!

Btw, in one of the e-mails you mentioned that you moved to another community close to Berkeley. Does that mean you have your left your previous house next to the Nobel Laureate Perlmutter? Do you know is he of our age and retired or working like a young man?!

Best

Kashyap,  Someone implied this was your birthday. If that is the case:  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Hi Kashyap,

Thanks for the useful lessons! So much I am learning.

The guy in the video (Lerner?) has a youtube channel with his company’s name LPPfusion.

On that channel he has videos to answer most all of your questions, I think.

But considering he’s been thought of as a crank for so long on this topic, you might not want to waste your time.

There are two dramatic elements in the video I linked:

1) an animated song, rhyming well, decent production values, I liked, but stopped watching before I got to the promised

2) disguised voice of a cosmologist confessing doubts about the big bang.

LPPfusion has 5 earlier videos on the topic, probably 2.5 hours of arguments.

I think they explain your evidence.

Nevertheless, it might be interesting to hear a qualified physicist in a neutral corner (not cosmologist, not plasma physicist) rebut them.

Hi Hal,

Thanks! I am not much concerned with death or after life! But I want to be able to be independent about being able to walk and do bodily functions until that time! I am hoping for that!

As for big bang, it does explain lot of data. There is no other model which explains as many data as big bang theory such as nucleosynthesis, origin of matter , CMBR, unification of electroweak etc.  Do you know any rival theory which explains them?  There are problems like dark matter and dark energy of course.

BTW, the new WEBB telescope data do not invalidate big bang theory as some popular article said. It merely shows that galaxies formed much earlier like after 100 M years or so rather than 500 M years. That will require small tweaking of theory of galaxy formation from particles and nuclei, atoms etc. The latter  were formed in the 1st sec to first 3 minutes. The writers of popular articles make their living by writing sensational stuff!! I do not mind scientific controversies. What I do not like is that some people with knowledge less than high school physics level doubting some of these giant theories!!!

Hi Kashyap,

   Happy birthday!

There’s a short musical animation at the beginning of this short video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ad9oCQPe4s

The host is a plasma physicist from New Jersey who is a captain of industry, seeking donations and Wall Street money to build his fusion reactor.

Also, apparently, has long been heterodox about the Big Bang, and he is delighted by results the new observations.

I get the idea from him that cosmologists feel a lot of peer pressure to support the Big Bang, but have creeping doubts,

   Hal
