Hello Science Club!

Here are some important dates that are fast approaching for anyone interested in scholarships or internships this semester. Make sure to fill these out if you're interested!

  • The STEM SLC program is hosting CSUF's Project RAISE team this Friday, March 4th, for a virtual info session from 9am-11am. If you're interested, please register here to receive the link:

  • Project RAISE Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) at California State University, Fullerton
    Selected students will gain first-hand experience in scientific investigation in a dynamic, collaborative research environment. Students will be matched with CSUF faculty who will provide training and support. In addition to research, participants will create a research poster and present their findings. Participants will receive a $5,000 stipend for their research and participation throughout the summer. The application deadline is March 13, 2022 for this summer.   • Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) at California State University, Los Angeles (Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry) 
    Summer 2022 Chemistry and Biochemistry REU Program will accept 10 undergraduate applicants from local community colleges and universities to participate in summer research projects in research laboratories in their department. The application deadline is March 11, 2022 for this summer.   • MAC Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) at UC Riverside
    ​MacREU R'side is an NSF-funded project that provides research opportunities for undergraduate students from 2= and 4-year colleges as well as research universities each summer at UC Riverside. All research projects are related to the growth, characterization, and application of thin films or monolayer materials. Students from a broad spectrum of backgrounds in the physical sciences or engineering are welcome. Research opportunities can be found in UCR's Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, and Chemical Engineering Departments, i.e., everywhere in our Materials Science and Engineering program. The application deadline is March 18, 2022 for this summer.   • NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars Program (NCAS)
    NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) builds a diverse future STEM workforce by engaging two-year degree seeking students in authentic learning experiences. It opens doors for 2-year community college students seeking a STEM degree by offering three unique experiences. Scholars get a closer look at NASA’s unique missions and research and learn how to develop their talents, interests, and passion to become future STEM professionals by participating in one of three missions. The application deadline is April 6, 2022 for the Summer/Fall 2022 session.
