PyCon APAC 2013 in JapanのCFPがはじまりました。

今回、残念ながらScience系の専用セクションや
併設はできませんでしたが、
皆さまの多数の応募お待ちしております。

なおScience系ネタの応募が多い場合、
セッションがまとまるように検討頂けるとのことなので、
上手くすれば専用セッションになるかもしれません。
知り合いやみなさまの所属してくコミュニティにも
宣伝していただき、じゃんじゃん応募してください。

まだ応募の少ない今がチャンスです。

PyCon APAC2013、CFPのご連絡ありがとうございます。

やはり、今回は、発表しようかと思います。

内容としては、自分の専門に近い化学や生物学に関連する分野でのPythonの使われ方が中心になると思います。

登録フォームの略歴のところに、所属、肩書き、参加プロジェクトなどを書くとあるので、

ここに、Science with Pythonに関わっていますと書いたらいいかもしれませんね。

I've been involved in a Python-based software project in my job, that
is a bioinformatics application, so I sent a staff of the project to
encourage submitting talk to APAC.

BTW, we are science-with-python, but we have share few number of use
cases yet. How about starting a simple site of Science with Python
which collects use cases? It will make describing ourselves easy as
well as finding Pythonic engineers/projects in scientific computing
area.

Thoughts?

事例を集めたWEBサイト作るのがいいでしょうか？

そうだとしたら、私が立ち上げたほうがいいでしょうか（Googleサイトのページを立ち上げますか）？

それともMasuda様か、別の方が立ち上げていただけますか？

 

 

それから、とりあえず、私が紹介すると言っていた化学、生物学関連を以下にあげておきますね。

 

化学構造を扱うライブラリ（化合物の検索など）

    フリー

        OpenBabelとそのPythonラッパのPybel（http://openbabel.org/wiki/Main_Page）

        RDKit（http://rdkit.org/）

タンパク質やDNAの表示

    Pymol（http://www.pymol.org/）

        Pymolは表示がとてもきれいなので、使っているユーザーの数が本当に多いです。

Thank you for posting the massage. That is a very good idea.
Sould we make a new web site for providing collected information about examples of Python  use in scientific area?
If so, should I make such a web site?(Using Google Sites?)
Or, Masuda-san, will you make such a web site or, anyone, will you do?

どなたかご存じですかね。
是非、9月のPyConAPACでお会いしてみたいなと思いました。

それとまだ、CFPは募集中です。
日本語と英語で有利不利が発生するのではないか
という話があるみたいですが、
4トラックで２つづつ同時進行しますので有利不利ありません。

僕もCfPを何か出そうと思っていますが、
ネットワーク分野で初心者がPython 3.3の移植をやったみた
みたいなのになりそうです。

StarCluster使って分散処理系の何かを
やってみたかったのですが、
面白そうなネタまでは到達できそうになかったので
science系は断念＞＜

あと相談ですが、
ポスターセッションみたいなの作ったら応募しますかね
もしくは、去年の談話スペースみたいなのもは今交渉して
つくろうとは考えてますが。

I am looking forward to listen your talk about network area and Python3.

In addition, the poster session hears a good idea. Someone who will not talk the oral session may make his or her poster.

And, a meeting space as is in the last year will be very important. Thank you for your dedicated work.

I updated some at the site.

I added Python Examples page and wrote names and links of some python library for scientific area.

I will extend the list of python library at the site, gradually.

But my design skill is poor. You can change the layout.
