Dear members of science-with-python,

We are currently accepting proposals for this year's PyCon JP, which is scheduled for 13-15 September. The deadline for submission is 20 June.

About PyCon JP 2014

Date: 13-15 September

Venue: Plaza Heisei, Ariake Tokyo Japan

This year's theme is "Rediscover with Python". We are priolitialy calling for proposals in line with the theme. It can be anything from reviving old pieces of technology with Python to making interesting discoveries about the language itself. We will also accept proposals not strictly related to the theme. Intended audience can range from novice to advanced. We welcome (and actually encourage!) application from Python newbies!

Please note that for this year each speaker slot is shorter at 30 minutes. We do have a small number of 45 minutes slots, so if you like extra time please indicate accordingly when you submit your proposal.

How to apply

1. Go to PyCon JP website (https://pycon.jp/2014/)

2. Create account from top right corner

3. Edit your speaker profile, accessible from the dashboard

4. Submit proposal from dashboard

Your proposal will be reviewed by the PyCon committee for acception/rejection. We plan to inform you the outcome on 7th July.

今年も9/13-15の日程でPyCon JPを開催いたします。公式ウェブサイト（https://pycon.jp/2014/）のオープンに伴い、6/20（金）を期限として演題の募集（CFP: Call For Proposals）を開始しましたので、ぜひご応募ください。

今年のPyCon JPのテーマは「Python で再発見 - Rediscover with Python」です。演題も「Pythonで再発見」できるもの・したもの・したいものを歓迎します。最近使っていなかった枯れた技術をPythonで蘇らせた話、Pythonのまだあまり使われていない領域の話、Pythonとそのエコシステム自体に意外な発見があった等、好奇心をくすぐるようなテーマをお待ちしています。

もちろん、テーマと直接関係ない演題でも問題ありません。初心者向けから上級者向けまで幅広い内容を募集しております。初心者による発表も大歓迎です！

各セッション枠は昨年より短めの30分となっていますのでご注意ください。45分枠も少数用意しておりますので、希望される場合は応募時に45分枠を選択してください。

ダッシュボードからプロポーザル（演題案）の提出

提出いただいたプロポーザルは運営チームにてレビューし、採用可否を7/7（月）にお知らせする予定です。
