Hi everyone! Although Science Cafe technically went on hiatus for the summer, I had the opportunity to invite some visiting summer students doing research at the National Weather Center, and they accepted! We don't want to compete with fireworks, so we're going to meet up on July 11 at 7pm at the Norman Public Library.
These are undergraduate students practicing their communication with the general public, so let's have a good turnout in order to (1) help them practice and (2) hear about current research going on with students here in Norman!

Sean,
I agree this sounds really interesting – we will need to get the word out quickly and frequently.
If you need changes to the attached let me know.
Thanks,
Theresa

Theresa,
Here are some descriptions of the mini-talks that will be given on July 11. We might want to call it something like "Summer Student Research Showcase" or something. These students are from all over the country, and they've come to the NWC to do research with experts in weather, climate and forecasting. I think it will be a lot of fun for the attendees and the speakers!
