Yes, once again NASA is pretending to have found
something sigificant on Mars.

"Organic molecules" ? Almost as common as dirt across
the solar system. Mars has had over 4 billion years to cook
up weird compounds.

And "life" ? Nope. Even very long-ago life would have left
a LOT of residual evidence, life proliferates.

Mars is just a big cold blob of sterile dirt that probably
has a funky smell to it.

Proceed with the teraforming. Might help to de-orbit
Phobos, stir the pot a little ...

There's probably life WAY out there somewhere, but
not in this neighborhood. After a lot of looking the list
of believable life-generating planets is VERY short
for a 1000 light-year radius. As nobody has a clue
about how to travel faster than light, we're not going
to get out further and nothing out there is going to
come here. Play yer video games, that's about as
close to 'aliens' as we're gonna get.

Hate to be a downer ... but sometimes you just have
to pour that bucket of cold water ...........
