Well, good lenses - and probably telescopes - WERE Arab inventions
so he probably wasn't the first to see Jupiter's moons.
However he made a point to accurately record what he saw
over time - which made him a scientist. You could put
numbers to it.
He also drew some obvious conclusions ... which
the HRCC actually agreed with - but also said it
was NOT "his place" to publicize, SERIOUSLY said.
