Greetings,

The first important piece of info, we no longer ask your e-mail to sign
the petition, and have removed all e-mails from past entries.

If you don't already know a campaign to save the Pluto Kuiper Express
has been started, and is going strong. We invite everyone to browse our
website and sign our petition. Details regarding the mission, and
objectives can also be found on the website. The campaign website is at:
www.plutomission.com

I just spoke with a reporter with the Los Angeles Times today,
regarding an article that will be in this weekends paper about the
campaign. With JPL in that area, this will show them the interest in
the Pluto Kuiper Express!

A new policy has been instituted on the Petition, we have removed e-
mail addresses from all entries, and have removed that field from the
sign petition page. We have done this to make people feel at ease
signing the petition. People have no need to worry now that signing the
petition will bring them unsolicited e-mail, we no longer request it.

Articles will appear in SKY AND TELESCOPE and ASTRONOMY Magazines by
years end, and we have updated the CONTACT NASA and CONTACT CONGRESS
Portion of the website.

We strongly urge you to write a letter to NASA. We also strongly
suggest you e-mail the Senate Science Committee Chair, and write your
local Nat'l Representative and Senator. Details on how to do so may be
found on the website. The petition will show the interest, but letters
are also KEY. So please consider writing some letters, they could be
the deciding point in this matter. We can show the amount of interest
in the petition, but the letters show how true the interest is.

Thanks for your support,
Ted A. Nichols II

This is a TYPICAL government shortsided move. They cut the funding because the
scientific returns are so far in the future. Besides the ISS is a whirlpool of
money, most going down the drain.

I hope this program is resurected, because its a one shot deal to see what the
conditions are, before the big freeze takes place. Besides its the ONLY planet
we havent visited.

Its the wrong thing to cut.
