Atheism is not about power or royalty, for it is merely the "absence of
belief in deities and supernatural agents." Nothing more...

Nice poem, but it's misguided for it is skepticism that brings clarity
rather than atheism. (Skepticism certainly tends to foster atheism.)

Thank you, and I agree with you about skepticism. The skeptic relies
on facts. What cold, hard facts regarding atheism would be cause for
a skeptic to foster it?

Harlow, for example, is a skeptic. He is in fact a "skeptic's
skeptic", which just means that he's skeptical about almost
everything... almost.

From my perspective, this makes Harlow a real puzzle, due to the
"fact" that there are no hard, cold facts to support atheism. Yet he
does appear to be an atheist.

It's an enigma!

No it's not. I simply take the logical position of requiring proof or
evidence before I believe in someone's assertion. You don't. You try to
couch your words to make yourself seem wise, but it's a ruse...A
smokescreen. You have fooled no one but yourself. It is obvious that you
are a believer. To me, a believer is a sucker. No offense.

Once someone like you has started down the path of belief in a 'non
trivial' deity, he opens himself up to all manner of beliefs. Such as
belief in ghosts, esp, and ANY paranormal reports. Will you now claim
that you don't believe in any type of paranormal occurrences?

That is a direct question. Please give me your usual bullshit answer.

Oh ya...I'll wait right here.

You are no longer worth answering. You don't like yourself enough for
me to waste anymore time on you. I have won all arguments with you,
to include this one, so you continue with your own brand of bullshit
about me that you couldn't possibly believe. You're merely making
another attempt to get under my skin. Good luck with that, criminal.

Capitulation noted. Apology accepted.

What is your idea of what "atheism" is? Here's the definition of
atheism that I find to be reasonable: "Absence of belief in deities
and supernatural agents."

http://www.atheistfrontier.com/glossary/atheism.pl

Your definition of skepticism is peculiar too -- skepticism is about
questioning claims as much as it is about questioning facts (since new
discoveries can sometimes result in contradicting what was previously
considered to be a fact). Through skepticism, particularly with tools
like Scientific Methodology, the ultimate goal is the discovery of
"objective truth."

We need some clarity from you on the meaning of "skeptic" and "atheist"
before your views on Harlow can even be considered.
