That mind control all looks pretty spiffy, but I want to know is, what
happened to HYPNOTISM? I have been watching a lot of old movies from
the 1930s and 1940s, and I can tell from those movies that, back then,
about 5 seconds of stare-y eyes or a glow-y ring would give a
hypnotist powers equivalent to that of Atomic Radiation in the 1950s
or of Quantum Foam in the 1990s or even of Nanotechnology in the
2000s. In other words, with mind control through hypnosis (1930s
style) you could not only score you some unconscious pussy, and talk
old ladies into putting you in their wills, but you could travel
through time, see where treasure and bodies were buried, and even turn
regular people into ACTUAL MONSTERS with super-strength and fangs and
everything.
Whatever happened to OLD SCHOOL hypnotic powers?

But, but Modemac! Look what it says here:
"This is a great way to meet people... attractive people (hint, hint),
capture their attention and have great fun."
A person utilizing psychic medium wisdom wouldn't LIE, would he?!?
Sounds like a great way to scam free drinks in bars.

I don't know about their other books, or claims, but this one kind of
looks like it's intended to teach "the scam", rather than trying to
promise you super-powers of hypnosis. I mean it looks like they're
basically saying "all this mind-reading stuff IS a scam, and we'll
teach you how to do it!"
Whenever I hear the phrase "cold reading", that's what I think of,
scam-artist type "readers" who know how to use body language and so on
to make it -look- like they're psychic.
My first impression of the book, just by itself, was that it was
almost a Penn and Teller kind of thing, "we'll teach you how the fakes
pull it off so you can do the same thing".
On the other hand, when I hear the phrase "Mind Control", that just
inherently sets off the "rip-off scam" alarm bells in my head.
I haven't looked for any of their other books but with a name like
that I suspect they are generally more in the rip-off scam category.
