Getting into PhotoFocus (PhotoReading) ??

PLEASE can someone help me and answer the following
simple two questions - you would help me very much
and improve / boost my reading skills.

I“m a beginner of the "PhotoReading Whole Mind
System" and I“ve read the book very carefully
several times - but still I have this
two questions about the PhotoFocus. I think
that the correct answers can not be found
unambiguous in the book (in the german translation ?).

QUESTION 1:
I see the mentioned blip-page, but do I
have to see the letters clearly (sharp) or
is it also correct when I see them blurred ??
QUESTION 2:
Do I look in PhotoFocus on both pages (left
and right page)in a book at the same time
or first (and only)at the left page and
second on the rigth page ??

I would be very happy if you can short answer this
two questions!!

Thank you very much
Bernd

Bernard,

I've been PhotoReading for a little over a year now with what I
consider to be a good degree of success. I'll try to help as best I
can.

I don't think that you need to see the letters on the page either
blurred or clear. For myself, I see them slightly blurred. The thing
to remember is that you're not trying to purposfully blur your eyes -
you're trying to diverge your eyes so that you take in both pages at
once without focusing on any specific word. Part of the rationale of
this is to keep the concious mind out of the way while PhotoReading.

I use PhotoFocus on both pages at the same time. If you're having
trouble with using PhotoFocus, you might try PhotoReading the book
up-side-down, from the end to the beginning (I will PhotoRead from the
beginning to the end right-side-up, then flip the book over and go from
the end to the beginning up-side-down). This will help distract you, I
think, from trying to focus on specific words on the page.
I hope that this has been of some help. If I can be of further
assistance, please feel free to email me.

The point of PhotoFocus is just to stop you reading text. At the
PhotoReading training I attended, the trainer told us not to worry about the
technique: just flip those pages!

PS: Since I already had followed NLP training up to master's level at the
time I took the PhotoReading course, I found it very much a waste of time.
For me, the most important element of the course is "learn to trust your
unconcious", but then, I had heard thatmessage before from NLP trainers as

You must see them blurred Photo focus is not focusing
but seeing the two pages as a whole You should see all
the four corners at once

Well...
...I also encountered the same problem (seems impossible to me to get into
photofocus and still see the letters clearly), AND neither my glasses nor my
contacts correct both eyes' vision fully (too much of a difference from one
eye to the other), but still it works. :)

I usually look at both pages simultaneously, but I suppose if you look
left-right or vice versa it should work just as well.
