Three Lectureships in:
SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY

Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified individuals for the
following three posts:

(1,2) Two Lectureships in Psychology (Grade A/B)
Social, Developmental, or Health Psychology

Postholders will develop their own research programmes and support
departmental teaching in social, developmental, or health psychology.
One post is a permanent lectureship while the other is for two years in
the first instance, but with the strong possibility of consolidation
(subject to Faculty approval).

(3) Lectureship (Grade A) in Psychology
(3 year fixed term appointment)

The postholder will support our teaching in research methods and
develop research in any area that complements our current programmes.

The Department of Behavioral Sciences, Ben Gurion University has an
entry-level, tenure-track faculty position available in developmental
psychology. The department is multidisciplinary offering an
undergraduate degree in behavioral sciences and graduate degrees in
psychology, sociology, and anthropology. The candidate would be
expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate level and to
conduct research in his/her area of specialization. Undergraduate
teaching would include a large second-year undergraduate course in
developmental psychology. The focus of the M.A. program is on early
development and our preference is for developmental psychologists with
specialization in this developmental period although other areas of
specialization will be considered. The language of instruction is
Hebrew.

Ben Gurion University is located in the south of Israel in the desert
region of the Negev. Beer Sheva is a city with a population of 160,000
reflecting the diverse ethnic mixture of Israel. In addition to the
university, the city includes a medical school general hospital, and
psychiatric hospital.

(including MANOVA and structural equation modelling) and other areas of
statistics and research design to advanced undergraduate and post
graduate students, and to provide statistical and research design
advice to staff and PhD students.

an active research program relevant to psychology, and experience in
teaching statistics to psychologists.

Additional expertise in psychometrics or advanced qualitative
methodologies would be an advantage.

Assistant/Associate Professor in Personality Psychology

The Department of Psychology invites applications for a tenured
position in Personality Psychology at the Assistant/Associate Professor
level. Responsibilities include teaching and supervising students in
the third year of the Professional Program in the following areas:
Personality Theories, Abnormal Psychology, Clinical Assessment,
Psychotherapy, and Clinical Research Methods. Some teaching at the
undergraduate level may be required. Individuals with an ongoing
research program in personality or any of these areas are invited to
apply. Clinical experience will be considered an asset. The candidate
will also be expected to share in some administrative duties. Teaching
may be conducted in English.

The University of Tromso is the world's northernmost university,
located in the vibrant city of Tromso amidst beautiful arctic scenery.
The university is growing and now has almost 7,000 students. The
Professional School of Psychology was established in 1991, and the
first graduating class will finish in 1995. We are in the process of
