gives it a temperature.
The cool atom does not store heat.
What about ambient temperature order?

Boil water and the atoms heat expand and change state as a molecule.
A white light bulb doesn't drive that atomic order. at least not in
a way that makes any difference. As tiny heat stays at the bulb.
