You are confusing the Biblical Jewish God (The American God) with the
Trilogy of Gods = Brahma/Vishnu/Shivah (Creator/Preserver/Destroyer
respectively).
The two religions are not connected - as also the Greek Gods are not
connected nor the Egyptian Gods and others.
The Western Jewish/Islam/Christian believe in a father who is the
Biblical God and possibly a son - who they call Jesus.
They refer to the Bible God as "The Father" or "God" in the same way
that HIndus use the word "God" to address Vishnu or Brahma or Shivah -
bearing in mind that Vishnu is viewed as the Number One or the Father
of Gods here.
There is no connection between these HIndu Gods and the Christian/
Jewish/Islam religion.
The Hindu Gods and the Hindu religion teach that you should not cause
suffering to any other form of life. It is a very peaceful and none
violent religion - and they also believe in reincarnation - with the
final aim as being "One with the Gods". There are also other Gods
apart from Shivah, Brahma and Vishnu.
The Christian/Jewish/Islam - do not believe in reincarntion - they
believe in a "Heaven" - also in their Bible they state that do cause
suffering to others in the way of angels who murder Gentile babies,
plagues and killings, and ordering men to circumcize themselves (OW!)
plus of course the considerable suffering caused to Jesus. They also
suffer prejudice in the way of blaming woman for tempation and
disobedience to their God plus prejudice against Gentiles (anyone who
is not Jewish).
As you can see the views and outlook of the two different religions
prove that there is no connection between them.
So the "American God" is nothing to do with the Hindu faith/religion.
You cannot choose both religions - you must decide and choose one or
the other.
The Hindu people are a good example and representation of their
religion and their Gods. They are a peaceful, law abiding and good
people and do not cause the wars and violence and unrest that exists
on Earth.

Shivah, Brahma and Vishnu are three seperate invidiual Gods. They are
each grown men and are not related by way of paternity.
They are each a God whereas the Father/Son/Spirit - one is a God, one
is a son or offspring of a God and as for the spirit - who knows -
