Neighbor across the street is of Polish descent and he is from up north.

It is interesting that the North Pole is fixed but the magnetic North
pole wanders.

The geographic North Pole is in the Arctic.

The magnetic north pole is moving around and moving
away from the geographic north pole.

i think so too and the way it wanders now could do wonders for a compass
i guess there's some kind of propagation taking place with the magnetism

british columbia highest point

Due to active tectonic uplifting, Mount Logan is still rising in height.
Before 1992, the exact elevation of Mount Logan was unknown and
measurements ranged from 5,959 to 6,050 metres (19,551 to 19,849 ft). In
May 1992, a GSC expedition climbed Mount Logan and fixed the current
height of 5,959 metres (19,551 ft) using GPS.[5]

In general it is NOT. To begin with, Terra (Earth) revolves around Sol
(the Sun).

Get over it...

Revolution is but gravitational orbit and nothing else...

God creates gravity.

Start at the south pole, then head north. Keep going and you'll eventually get there.

It's actually over water ( frozen ).

It's the point where Polaris remains fixed ( nearly ),
at the very top of the zenith.

PS - Polaris is currently about 3/4 degree from the celestial pole,
and moving very slowly to close the gap.

More precisely, it is the point where the celesyial pole is at the
zenith or dirrectly overhead. The star Polaris is close, currently
being about 3/4 degree from the celestial pole, or about 1 1/2 the
width of either the Sun or Moon away, and is slowly closing the gap.

According to national geographic, the north pole, magnetic north, Where
the compass marks it, was located in the Queen Elizabeth Islands, in the
port of Bathurst Island, in the year 1965, its just north of Prince of
Wales Island, It is east of Mt Michelson Alaska. Which belongs to
Canada. Further on it moved north to ne some, but not to far.. I
belive it is still in the
Queen Elizabeth Islands of Canada... Prior to this, it was in the Prince
of Whales Island in the late 40s. As far as the grid goes, where
longitude latitude lines are, it the North Pole there, is in the middle
of the Artic ocean. The depth is 140000 feet, measured by Russian Otto
Schmidt in 1937. Richard E Byrd visited it 1926 by airplane, and Robert
E Peary of the United States NAVY, BY SLED DOG TEAM, IN 1909.
There is not land. It is ice. And Ocean. Most of these people were
lucky to remain alive, as the Russian, drifted 9 months after flying
there by plane. And they were picked up etc etc etc on the others,
Peary was found by ice breakers 43 years later. I don't think he was
presumed alive. It is neutral waters the grid marking of it, but it is
not the real north pole, Magnetic North would have to be the real North
Pole.

No, the "real" north pole is located at 90° north longitude, the place on the surface of the earth which is farthest toward the north.

Look up the definition in the dictionary rather than just guessing, which is what you have done.

What the hell is this? The invasion of non-science liberals into a
science newsgroup? What the hell does "real North Pole" mean? Babbling
nonsense. Both the geometric and magnetic poles exist and are real. One
relates to rotation and geometry of Earth and the other is variable
electrical phenomena. Sorry geniuses, but reality is NOT created by your
fantasies. Not to mention that Starfaker is as usual totally clueless of
any reality.

Only a geometric definition makes any sense.

The pole is the location on the Earth surface, where the celestial
pole is at the zenith or directly overhead.

The star Polaris is close, currently being about 3/4 degree from the
celestial pole, or about 1.5 the apparent width, of either the Sun or

There is no “top of the zenith”. The zenith *is* defined as the *point* on
the *virtual* celestial sphere directly overhead the observer. It is thus
different for every observer.

That is NOT in general the celestial North Pole and certainly NOT the North
Pole on the terrestrial surface.

Stop amok-crossposting.
