Is this an Atheist convention?

Hawkings quotes from Augustine, and the audience laughs. (the audience must be all dummies if they didn't know he is quoting Augustine)

“What was God doing before the divine creation? Was he preparing hell for people who asked such questions?”

Big Bang without God, ...where have I heard this before? Is this a re-run?

Stephen Hawkings *still* believes in God, doesn't he? He cannot get that Guy out-of-his-mind.

Why do you think God put him in that wheel chair? There is a reason, did you know that?? It's where he belongs..people
like him all they do is build atomic bombs.

According to him, you got a thousand years to live.

So So lame. God did not put him in a wheel chair. only a god fearing
fool would ever say something as freakin mean hateful and just plain
stupid as that. Ya know if you actually believed in a god and the
values that your god stood for you would not ever say something like
that, unless of course your god was a mean hateful vengeful prejudiced
dumbass. Oh wait let me gues you are your own god

Well look at the Headline: Stephen Hawking lays out case for Big Bang without God

Is that about cosmology or about atheism?

His introduction is about atheism

“What was God doing before the divine creation? Was he preparing hell for people who asked such questions?”

Why does he want to know what God was doing before the divine creation? That's a stupid question. God was watching TV!!!!
I'm guessing he got bored with what they were showing on TV.

Now he can watch American Idol!

Download movies...

Come on already, He was simply bored!

The Starmaker

He probably had only one channel on Tv...

Now he's got cable!

You're on TV, get it?

Well I do not recall Fred Hoyle mentioning a god when he coined this
comical phrase. (but then he was a detractor of the theory)

>Stephen Hawkings *still* believes in God, doesn't he? He cannot get that Guy out-of-his-mind.

Are you sure it is not the* notion* there is such a thing as god that
he is concerned with?

We know this notion exists indeed there are thousands of such notions
all like 'my father house with many rooms' all looking alike with many
twisty passages.

>Why do you think God put him in that wheel chair?

I think no such thing.

> There is a reason, did you know that?? It's where he belongs..people

Well we have already placed Hawkins on the list of great Britons
alongside Shakespeare, Darwin, Newton and Adam Smith but whether he
will be interned in Westminster Abbey alongside such greats as
Darwin we will have to wait and see.

i guess he will end up pictured on our bank notes which would
be nice.

This is Augustine:

He's lying. He cannot stop talking and thinking about God.

There is no such thing as an athiest, ..there are only people *claiming*
to be atheist.

But deep down inside....they cannot get God out of their hearts.

They are at war with themselves.

Have you notice, atheist don't mention...The Devil? Cause atheist want

There's as much evidence for consciousness persisting after death as
there is for a god, i.e., none at all. There's only the mind, which
is the product of the brain. When the brain is ill or injured, the
personality changes. When the brain dies, consciousness winks out.
No heaven. No hell. Just oblivion, which is nothing to be afraid of.

There is no evidence of either a god or a devil. The reason we don't
mention the devil is that is, essentially, just another god: a being
of begotten of fantasy and ignorance, banished by the bright light of
reason.

See? I told you so. The only problem is that while the above is an
excellent synopsis of the beliefs of Social Darwinism, it's nothing but
imaginative assertion with no effort to examine any evidence suggestive
of other ideas. In other words the above is nothing but religious belief
presented as such. It's true because the faithful SAY it is true.

> There is no evidence of either a god or a devil. The reason we don't

Obviously your assertion of "no evidence" is clearly based on ignorance
either natural or chosen. Of course, you expect me to assert the polar
opposite to your faith, but in science that isn't how it works.

To say that there is "no" evidence of the persistence of consciousness
after death or for functions of mind beyond those of the brain is simply
a statement that you have no knowledge of what has been studied in these
matters. There is much evidence that has been accumulated and developed
that provide strong suggestions that your simplistic views are dead wrong
even if politically correct in certain circles.

The fact that this body of evidence has not established credibility for
OTHER religious theories does not discredit the observations. It only
discredits your assumptions.

Attempting to prove a negative with mere bluster and personal assertion
is hardly convincing debate.

And yet when your brain developed your consciousness winked in?

Of course there is evidence of a god and a devil. God is positive, the Devil is negative. Plus, Minus. +, -. Good, Evil.

You might as well just say there is no evidence of positive and negative.

Every person born is incorporated a positive and a negative. The positive is on one side, the negative is on the other.
The good is on one side, the bad is on the other.
God is on your right side, and the devil is on your left side.
Your right side is your positive side. Your left side is your negative side.
There is only Love and Hate, there is no inbetween.

There is only a positive charge and a negative charge.

If you're looking for evidence of God, you need to look inside you.

(on the right side)

no, no, no, no...a little bit more to the left...that's it.

It's very simple...God is good.

Who is "The Starmaker?" (Please clarify.)

If a deity permanently confines any able-to-walk person into a
wheelchair without their consent, then that deity is cruel and
oppressive.

Are you implying that those who engage in the activity of "building
atomic bombs" are malevolent? (My own anecdotal experience with people
who work with this type of technology is that they're not malevolent.)

I know guys that use God to get into girls panties...I might have use that
technique a few times myself.

You should be more concern somebody using god to get into your sister panties.

In Israel, whenever they want to kill their neigbors women and children at lands
near them, they dig up Jesus Christs artifacts and say, "We found Jesus grave!"
Then they go about killing their neigbors.

Everyone uses God to get into girls panties. Whats wrong with that? I don't even think it's against the law.

And since God lives in us all, He is one of the guys pulling down your sister's panties.

I really think people don't understand God. He is not even that religious...

they all have slanted eyes!

Is it slanted a different way? Sorry, they don't tech this stuff in skool.

Is there a class people take that explains how to tell the difference?

There is this girl, chinese, japaneese, korean, I don't know which...
she wears a t-shirt that reads:

Why Are You Staring At Me?

The Starmaker

Does anyone know the answer to that question, or am I the only one as usual?

Other guys just raid girls' panty drawers when they want to get into
girls' panties.

If God allows you to exist, he can't be very good.

Now please go kill yourself. Thank you.

Biblegod admits that it created evil.

Isaiah 45:7 King James Version

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil:
I the Lord do all these things.

You're missing the whole thing.

God is good.
God is positive.
Devil is bad
Devil is negative.

That's two, count them, *two* different sides.

One side is good
the other side is bad.

God is on the good side! He's alllll goood!

I already pointed out, God lives in us all...
He just happens to live on one side only.

The good side!

The + side.

Is this for some reason not clear? I thought I made it simple to understand.

Someone asked a question and I seem to be the only one in the world with the answer...

A baby in Brazil is born with two heads. They usually remove one head...
The question they asked was:
"If both their brains are functioning, how are we going to choose which head to remove?"

The answer is simple! The head on the left side.

I said according to your rules or beliefs. kinda funny though when god
was crating the world in the old testamant your god never actuallly
created the devil. The devil only appears in the old testamant a few
times and mentioned heavily in the new testamant. but according to
your beliefs god created everything right? so I guess you can say that
you said that god created the devil. but according to my beliefs There
is no murdering hipoctirical lying higher power know to you as god, so
in fact there is no devil.

What difference does it make who His parents are, Brennda? Do you go around asking your friends "Who Created You?"

If we believed we had a thousand years to live we would stop destroying
the planet.

Yes, it absolutely *does*. I know who created my friends - their
biological parents did.

You claim your god was created. I want to know who created him. Put
up or shut up.

And while you're at it, you can provide logical, objective, verifiable
evidence that this god of yours *actually exists*. Until and unless
you do that, you're just blowin' smoke.

I don't understand the question! You know your friends were created by their biological parents, it's the same thing..
God was created by His biological parents. They brought up a nice good kid, what else can I say? Don't aks me what
high school he went to, please....i don't exactly keep track on everyone in the universe.

God lives in us all. You don't have to go too far to search for him, do you? He's right inside you. I already told
where to look...if you're looking for his exact location inside you...look in the mirror and look at the pretty side of you.

God is on the pretty side.

The good side.

You want to see God, look right in the mirror...you can dsraw a straight line down, ...He's on the pretty side.

I don't want to get on your bad side, Brennnda.

So in my case God is on both sides :)
