Dear all,

I have conducted an experiment to study the effect of a DC
current-induced magnetic field (crossed magnetic field, B)to an AC
corona and/or pulsed corona discharge (electric field, E) on ozone
production. Unfortunately, no apparent effect can be seen on the
discharge current and even on ozone generation after increasing the
magnetic flux density from 0.0265 Tesla to 0.1058 Tesla. The gap
spacing used is 1.4 mm, input voltage, 4.2 kVrms (AC corona)and 15 kV
(pulsed corona), air flow rate 1.0 l/min.

Is anyone know what is the scientific reason for these result?

Thank

lets turn it around.... what theory makes you think there should be a
difference? the only one i can think of might be if the arc is deflected by
the force of the dc field it flows through. a deflected current may cause
more breakdown of the air just due to it's length. with such a small gap
and only corona not a high current arc i would expect that it would be a
very small effect.
