MODERN DAY LIST OF KOOKS OF PHYSICS
Saturn has a Ring of rigid body rotation
These physicists see the Ring and know it to be rigid body rotation.
They also see rigid body rotation in Barred Spiral Galaxies.

Leon
Lederman

Steven
Weinberg

Brian
Greene

Lisa
Randall

Stephen
Hawking

Peter
Higgs

When a gravity based physicist sees rigid body rotation in astro-
bodies they invoke DARK MATTER and DARK ENERGY to make up for the
rigid body rotation.
When a real-physicist sees rigid body rotation, they do not make
excuses with fictional dark-matter and dark-energy, they instead do
what a real physicist does-- realize that rigid body rotation comes
from the EM force such as a vinyl phonograph record spinning on a
phonograph.
Kook physics is dreaming up whacky things like dark matter and dark
energy when instead Real physics is realizing gravity is EM.

Don't be ridiculous. Maxwell showed in the middle 19th century that
Saturn's rings cannot possibly be rotating as rigid bodies. And they
were demonstrated by direct observation in the late 19th century to be
not rotating as rigid bodies. I believe James Keeler did that work.

I cast my vote for Max Planck as Physics Kook of the Tear. He was in
league with Heisenberg and his Prussian masters to discredit Einstein.

We can excuse Paul Draper as a scientist, for he seems to forget that
dark matter and dark energy floods the science news media because it
was
hypothesized from the observation of rigid body rotation of astro
bodies (although they forgot to include Saturn's Ring).

James Clerk Maxwell did mathematics on Saturn, but he assumed it was
rigid body rotation
and was looking to see if that is stable.

Paul Draper is a below grade student of physics and lacks logic to
even be in physics.
But the nice part about Paul Draper is that he does not make money off
his fake physics,
but a kook of physics is one who makes money such as writing popular
books. I do not know if Peter Higgs ever wrote a popular fake physics
book, but Peter certainly lived through the century where physicists
could not tell the difference between rigid body rotation of Saturn
Rings and knowing that gravity had to be EM and not Newtonian or GR.

I do not know if Alan Guth profited from fake physics by writing a
popular book of Inflationary gravity, but certainly, Guth lived
through the century of Saturn Ring and the stupid hypothesis of dark
matter and dark energy.

Include Alan Guth for nomination of Physics Kook of the year.

Question for Tim Skirvin: is it too late to vote for the Physics Kook
of the year? I hope not.

You're the physics dude, Archie. That award is your baby. Can I
change my vote to Descartes?
