run with reactor 1

I have done another run with reactor 1. I found and repaired an old high voltage (RF) generator that lights a fluorescent tube nearby and wrapped that round one end of the reaction chamber and at the other I earthed. Capacity coupled.

 

I have a problem with the vacuum as it leaks.

 

I energised the exciter coil with 12 V AC and the resonant circuit responded with 200 V AC.

 

I watched the oscilloscope trace and there was no increase in the amplitude during the run. There was a burst on the GM tube into the orange.

 

The problem now is the vacuum. I need to fix that before I try making hydrogen or proceed with reactor 2.
