There is an interesting article about Black Stars in the October issue
of Scientific American.

http://www.sciamdigital.com/index.cfm?fa=Products.ViewIssuePreview&ARTICLEID_CHAR=C857F54D-237D-9F22-E8A3049396A3E3AD

Mathematical details are in this article,

http://arxiv.org/abs/0902.0346

The premise being that vacuum polarization effects could keep a slowly
collapsing star from forming an event horizon. For me, this begs the
question if these black stars could account for some of the dark matter?
Or all of it.

Best,

Cheers, andy (inopin...@yahoo.com)
