I need to know how the viewing angle of LCDs is measured. Also what is
considered to be a good viewing angle. If anyone can answer me I would
greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

I'm interested in that also. Can anyone furnish a mini-bibliography?

I see very high contrast ratios claimed for LCD displays. Seems to me
that requires extreme accuracy of degree of rotation of the plane of
polarization, which depends on path length. Since path length is
different for various view angles, how is this possible?
