We are a non-profit organization called GIFO - French Optics Manufacturer
Association - set up to help the French Optics industry.
We just opened our site at :
http://www.gifo.org

The site is bilingual, French and English, and will provide information about
optics, optronics, precision optics, ophthalmics, events in the optics fields,
French companies and their main specialities.

Let me present ourselves :
France has a long tradition and widely recognized know-how whether for lenses,
frames, sunglasses, professionnal instruments, contact lenses and precision
optics/optronics. Close to 150 companies have joined GIFO, the Group which
represents 95% of the domestic optics industry. The organization boasts several
large international corporations as well as small and mid-sized companies with
impressive track records in their specialty. A major objective of GIFO is
promoting the activity of French companies abroad and promoting their products
throughout the world. Discover its history and events as well as its products,
brands and know-how.
