Hello, does someone know how to write the syntax for logarithm solving
in Lingo? My objective function needs to be simplified to a linear
form because it had exponents, but I cannot figure out how to bring
down the exponent in this expression: log ( 1 - a^x.b^y...j^exponent).
Yes there are 9 variables after the negative sign, all with exponents
in binary form. That is, if the exponent is turned on in the optimal
solution, the coefficient of the expression will be used as a
multiplier. Unless there is someone brilliant who can simplify this
expression to linear form, then I'll just use the log function, if
ever there is one. Thanks!
