I suppose one way to research area is to follow approved patents. For
example Nanophase has over 20 patents in nano area. See
www.nanophase.com. I do not see any of them being "killer" apps though.
Any other ideas? Thank you.

Veeco produce scanning probe microscopes. There is a link to its corporate

The shares, like all technology shares, have done remarkably well at present
and there will be a correction some time, even if only for a month or so.
Whether it is worth buying now on the basis that the quotations after the
correction will be higher than prices now, is a decision that each investor
will have to make for themselves. If you plan to buy for the long term,
there will definitely be a large gain to be made whatever your timing.

Xerox do a lot of basic research including nano, and their share price is
very low relative to the market at present. It is unlikely to fall much more
in any correction. One reason for this suggested by many
commentators is that their corporate policy is so secretive about their work
that it is never sold or turned into products. They need to lose this
corporate paranoia if they are to generate the revenues required to impress
the investing public. *Maybe* if the company was to dismiss its entire legal
department and employ a fresh team with no pre-conceptions this may cause a
substantial hike in the quotation. There is also a link to their corporate
home pages on the abovementioned links page.
