not accidental?

Saw this article and read it, but was not impressed how quickly they
move straight to conjecture. There really isn't any evidence for what
they're proposing. Guess they got some clicks though.

I believe Muslims have chopped off hands/feet, but this religion was
not around then.

Prehistoric people...What was the "artist's" mindset, had this person
digested hallucinogenic plants, and what mind effect(s) did this have?
Was this symbolic or a realist sketch?

I suspect there is an untold history on how hallucinogenic plants
shaped their thinking. Tripping out then was a perception shift.
