Question: What ships have the capability to launch Tomahawks?
Ship names would be nice if the list isn't too long.

The list is VERY long... ALL the ships with the VLS can lauch tomahawk.
I believe all US subs can fire them, standard 21" tubes. (Though I'm
sure it takes the correct electronics... Which some subs may lack)
Improved-LA class subs have 12 (or was it 15) vertical launch tubes in the
hull.
The BBs had launch boxes, and I'm pretty sure most of the newer, pre-VLS
destroyers and cruisers have them too.
In other words, there are many ships that can launch BGM-109s.

In the US Navy, the Spruance class destroyers, the Tico class cruisers,
and the Virginia class cruisers all can launch Tomahawks (both TLAMs and
TASMs). The Iowa class battleships can as well, if you want to count
mothballed ships. Six Spruances, the Virginias, and the Iowas use
special box launchers for their Tomahawks (several of the first Ticos
did as well, but I think this was changed during refits). The rest all
carry them in their Mk. 41 VLS magazines. I suppose that technically,
any ship with a Mk. 41 can launch Tomahawks, although I wonder about
those sold to foreign navies. For example, Canada's four Tribal class
destroyers were fitted with one Mk. 41 VLS apiece during their TRUMP
upgrades. Does anyone know if these launchers can handle Tomahawks?

Only the later Ticos with VLS can fire Tomahawk. As far as I can tell,
they never installed the Armored Box Launchers on Aegis cruisers with the
old Mk26 launchers. It's not like they have a whole lot of deck space to
spare. Even there Harpoons look almost like an afterthought sitting
exposed on the fantail.
The rest all

The Tomahawk requires a seperate fire control system which is definitely
not included with foreign Mk41s. (Why buy fire control for a missile you
don't operate?)
BTW the Mk41 on the Tribals is certainly more than one 8-cell module (I
think they have 32-cells)

Don't forget about submarines..the first Tom. fired in combat in Desert Storm
came from the USS Louisville, a 688 class fast attack submarine, also 637 class
can carry them.

A moot question, since we'll never be able to aford them anyways. (Unless
some of the ones being tested in Alberta mysteriously disappear...;)
Seriously though, the Mk41 VLS aboard the Triabl-class DDH's is for SAMs
only. It can only carry 29 missles, which isn't enough to begin with, so
I don't see us offloading any SM2's for Tomahawks.

Nope, the first Tomahawk fired in DS came from a surface ship. I can't
remember exactly which one, but I think it was a Spruance Class Destroyer.
The Louisville was the first sub to ever fire a missile in combat.
(vertical launch, not torpedo tube, in case you're interested)

I believe it was the Paul F Foster, (DD-964) that launched the first TLAM
of DS. It was supposed to have been Wiscounsin, but she was having
software problems, though she eventually did launch.

I like the way it was put in Crusade, "she suffered a software casualty"
