The two new lawyers defending Trump in the
Cohen case are democrats that not only
worked with and are friends of Comey
but three days after Comey was fired
their law firm wrote, and Trump's new
lawyers signed, a blistering letter
published nationwide condemning the
firing AND calling for a special
council.

And reports are Trump doesn't know
that....yet.

LETTER FOR ROD ROSENSTEIN TO REMEMBER

May 12, 2017

Rod J. Rosenstein, Esq.
Deputy Attorney General of the United States
U.S. Department of Justice
950 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W.
Washington, D.C. 20530-0001

Dear Mr. Deputy Attorney General:

We, the undersigned, are former United States Attorneys and Assistant
United States Attorneys for the Southern District of New York. In view
of the recent termination of James Comey as Director of the Federal
Bureau of Investigation, we are writing to request that you appoint a
special counsel to oversee the FBI’s continuing investigation of Russian
interference with the 2016 Presidential election and related matters.
This letter is addressed to you rather than the Attorney General since
he has recused himself from this matter.

As you know, Jim has had a long and distinguished career with the
Department of Justice, beginning with his appointment as an Assistant
United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York serving
under United States Attorneys Rudolph Giuliani, Benito Romano and Otto
Obermaier from 1987 through 1993. He returned to the Southern District
of New York in 2002 when he was appointed the United States Attorney and
served in that capacity until he was confirmed as Deputy Attorney
General in 2003. Most of us came to know Jim when he worked in the
Southern District of New York. Many of us know him personally. All of us
respect him as a highly professional and ethical person who has devoted
more than 20 years of his life to public service.

While we do not all necessarily agree with the manner in which he dealt
with the conclusion of the Hillary Clinton email investigation, we
sincerely believe that his abrupt and belated termination for this
conduct, occurring months later and on the heels of his public testimony
about his oversight of the investigation of Russian interference with
the 2016 presidential election, has the appearance – if not the reality
– of interfering with that investigation. Even if this investigation
continues unabated, there is a substantial risk that the American people
will not have confidence in its results, no matter who is appointed to
succeed him, given that the Director of the FBI serves at the pleasure
of the President. We believe it is critical in the present political
climate and clearly in the public’s interest that this investigation be
directed by a truly independent, non-partisan prosecutor who is
independent of the Department of Justice, as is contemplated by 28
C.F.R. §600.1.

We are Republicans, Democrats and independents. Most importantly, we are
proud alumni and alumnae of the Department of Justice. We do not suggest
that you or any other members of the Department of Justice or a newly
appointed Director of the FBI would not conduct yourselves properly, but
the gravity of this investigation requires that even the appearance of
political involvement in this investigation be avoided. As former
prosecutors, we believe the only solution in the present circumstances
would be to appoint a Special Counsel pursuant to 28 C.F.R. §600.1, and
we urge you to take that course.

Respectfully submitted,

So your position is that either these two lawyers are unethical to the
point of illegality, since they have an obligation to disclose such
conflicts, or you're merely delusional and cannot tell your delusions
from facts ... again.

Neither. You don't know that they didn't disclose their previous ties
to Comey when Trump, or one of Trump's incompetent hirelings, engaged them.

As for your stupid claim that Jonathan is "delusional", that's just your
usual lame schoolyard-quality Usenet gibing.

Whoever hired them for Trump certainly knew who
they are, else they're incompetent Fred.

This law firm came out of the same FBI Southern
District that issued the Cohen search warrant
and only the creme of the crop get hired by
that FBI office, so this law firm is considered
as good or better than any other. Trump finally
has great lawyers.

Point being Trump doesn't know any of that according
to reports, just as Trump had no idea we were
going to boot 60 Russians, and blew a fuse when
he found out.

Just as Trump didn't have a clue Haley was going
to announce new Russian sanctions on national TV
and threw things at the TV when he heard her
say it.

Just as Trump had no idea S Korea isn't a member
of the TPP when he slammed them for being a member
of the TPP yesterday.

And that's just the Trump clueless list for the
last three days.

Trump is incompetent and a laughing stock.

Trump is the danger to America.

And you think people just "hire lawyers for Trump" without bothering
to talk to the boss? So my question is now answered. It's the second
choice and you're mere delusional and cannot tell your delusions from
facts ... again.

Ya. Just like no one told Trump his administration
was planning new sanctions on Russia until Trump
heard Haley say it on national TV Sunday morning.

Causing Trump to blow a fuse and cancel them.
Today Trump said and I quote..."we'll consider
new sanctions when Russia is well deserving".
Or some nonsense like that.

Just like no one told Trump they were going to
expel 60 Russians, and in a fury Trump said it
should have been more like 4 expelled.

Trump is is still kissing Putin's ass so Putin
doesn't release that pee video from Moscow
or something even worse.

And on and on, today the news was Rudy was hired
as a Trump lawyer along with two others 'not yet named'.

They don't want Trump to know who they are.
Guiliani is the one that hired them btw.
