It is looking like the rioters tended to be boys from poor backgrounds
who had been expelled from school. Many but not all were black. The
rioters tended to be officially unemployed who made a living as petty

I am less convinced that the rioters as a group are officially stupid

what this story illustrates in people with a uniform and a little power let

the Occupy Wall Street protests were initially fading away until one stupid
NY cop Tony Bologna{his real name}
pepper sprayed some 20 year old women. that got people roiled up and the
protests grew in numbers and started everywhere even internationally.

Your problem is that you don't understand the responsibilities of the
former colonial power.

One of which is to smile at the curious rituals performed by citizens of

The Haka has been performed by the All Blacks (the New Zealand rugby

In my Miami not having a pistol in a public place will get you shot dead.
No license is needed for handguns or even assault rifles.
The laws for guns down here have gone back to the 'old' days.

"Florida is a "shall issue" state, and issues concealed carry permits to
both residents and non-residents.Vehicle carry without a permit is
allowed either in a snapped holster in plain view, or when the firearm
is concealed if the firearm is "securely encased". "Securely encased"
means in a glove compartment, whether or not locked; snapped in
a holster; in a gun case, whether or not locked; in a zippered gun case;
or in a closed box or container..."

'Currently, Florida's Concealed Weapon License is one of the most
widely-recognized, state-issued concealed weapon permit..recognized
in thirty-five different states.."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_the_United_States_(by_state)#Florida

About the only thing against the law is trying to stop someone
from carrying a gun almost anywhere they like. Of course not in
places like nuclear power plants or schools. We're not totally
uncivilized.

And the new Florida self-defense law is even better. Concerning
illegal entry to one's home or car....

"In such instances they need not retreat before using deadly force,
they need not warn the intruder of their intent to shoot, and there
is an absolute presumption that the person attempting the entry
was doing so with the intent to commit a violent act (i.e. "forcible
felony"), and that the defender is presumed to be acting in reasonable
fear of death or great bodily harm to himself or herself. In other words
- no arrest or prosecution is technically "legal" if someone without a right
of entry or ownership is trying to break in, and you shoot them."

Yee ha!

Utah isn't really a part of the United States. They're those crazy inbred
people out in the middle of the desert you only hear stories about.

If that town is anything like the little town where I grew up
in Mid-nowhere Michigan, then, for instance...if I were
to pull out onto the street with my car and force the
fellow behind me to lift their foot off the gas pedal
for even a second or two, to adjust their speed, it would
be considered a completely rude and agressive act.

I would be expected to wave apologetically and
sincerely for the thoughtless offense.

I mean, those Polynesians might as well set off a bomb.

The two words have absolutely nothing to do with each other, though the
word 'moron' is older than the Mormon religion. That's merely my joke.

In her biography of Joseph Smith, *No Man Knows My History*, Fawn Brodie
speculates on the origin of the name 'Mormon'. I think it has to do with
Masonic ritual of the time. In the 'Book of Mormon', 'Mormon' is a
prophet, AIRC. You can always check Wiki.

I was being polite...

I'm English, it's one of our failings...

Ok, that word got me curious, what is "cautioned" by the police in the
UK?

(Since over here we beat up grammaw to get back the grain of sand moon
rock, and send 14 year olds to death row...but over there you caution
thugs and shoot to kill anyone carrying a pistol).

A formal reprimand administered by the police. It is used for minor
crimes where they cannot be bothered to send you for trial. The
perpetrator has to admit committing the crime.

Isn't a dance a vertical indication of a horizontal desire ?

With French dances certainly, but Morris dancing looks like military
drill. Although thinking about it when killing people normally makes
them go horizontal.
