The Crystal View was developed in the USA by an optometrist. It is
used in opthalmology both as a diagnostic tool and as a reading aid
prescribed by physicians for low vision patients.

One of the most rewarding things about being associated with this
magnifier is the phone calls we receive from customers, saying how the
Crystal view has brought back the ability to read again, for
themselves or for a loved one. While we are not medical experts and
certainly are not able to guarantee miracles, the following examples
show how the Crystal View magnifies the image and brings in light to
the viewing area, making viewing much easier.

Ever get a fax and wonder if that was a six or eight? Have trouble
reading the phone book or financial page? Need a little help seeing
the smaller streets on the map? How about reading labels on the pill
bottles? The Crystal View can help!

I checked out the site...you can get the same thing from Lighthouse for
1/3 the cost. Also no wooden stuff to get in the way and cast shadows,
so a better product.
