Unfortunately I have the case:

"Decentered or Dislocated Intraocular Lens Implant (IOL)-While it is very
rare, the artificial Lens Implant (IOL) used to correct your vision after
Cataract Surgery can move slightly becoming decentered or move a greater
amount and become dislocated."
From:

The surgery was done 10 days ago.
Now the surgeon is absent. He will be at the end of the March.

Now I know only that are trouble with the one leg of the Aspira-aA (IOL).

I know that the next surgery is necessary. But I do not know when it should
be done.
Immediately, a.s.a.p or after some rest.

Can anybody help?

If a replacement IOL surgery is necessary, it is preferable to do it sooner rather than later. The longer an IOL remains in the eye the firmer it becomes attached and the harder it is to remove... in general.

I was told that the suture will be considered at March 27.

The replacement needs the 6mm cut. Is it possible to install the new IOL
with the undamaged legs?

I am asking because I probably will be asking what I prefer to risk.

I have found the opinion (J. C. Hagan): " IOL exchange is a big operation.
Risks include infection, bleeding, swelling and inflammation of the eye
and/or macula, retinal detachment, residual IOP power problems. Very rare
risk of loss of the eye."

And the presentation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDbTyUMak94

The IOL is simmilar like my Aspira-aA.
How big cut is necessary. It seems that smaller than 6mm.

"The period between primary cataract surgery
and IOL exchange was 3 to 9 months. The postoperative

follow up was two years.

Results: We have not observed any complications,

either intraoperative or postoperative.

How many the IOL exchange may be done in one eye?
