Greetings fellow sufferers...
I've had chronic prostatitis x 15+ years (ever since a vas was done, but all
the uros say that is un-related). Had a bevy of procedures and tests done --
TRUS's, IVP's, U/S. cystos, VCUG's, etc. -- that all confirm the diagnosis,
but no cure. (Sounds familiar, doesn't it!) :-(
The question I have for any docs in this group, or non-docs, is about the
volume of ejaculate and the force by which it is expelled. It seems over the
years that I've had prostatitis, both the volume and the pressure have
decreased markedly. What used to be forcefully expelled now just oozes and
frequently what used to be a large volume is now just a few drops.
Is this related to the prostatitis? Is there any way to restored everything
to the way it was pre-prostatitis? Any recommendations would be appreciated.
TIA,
Mike

Mike,

I also had a vasectomy about 15 yrs ago, also got prostatitis since,
and also over the years saw my ejaculate do as yours has done.

Some of the folks who have been cured of their prostatitis by Dr.
Feliciano's or variant method, I think, have reported increased
ejaculate. Maybe they could elaborate.

Myron

Funny. I thought my changes of this type were due to my TUR, which (I
thought) left me with partial retrograde ejaculation. I suppose that
obstruction somewhere could cause similar changes.

Your ejaculate volume is reduced for two reasons:

1. The acini are clogged and thus the prostate can't provide its
usual 1/6 but this is so small a percentage that it's doubtfull that
you would notice it.

2. The swollen prostate is constricting/blocking the ejaculatory
ducts which provide most of the ejaculant by volume. The ej. duct is
fed by the seminal vesicle (4/6 of the usual ejaculant by volume) and
the vas deferens from the testicle (only 1%). The seminal vesicles
can also harbor an infection when they get blocked.

When I started DIY massage there was very little ejaculant. Several
weeks afterwards the ejaculant returned in full force. So I'm
convinced that reason number 2 is the main reason the ejaculant volume
is low.

The Dr. Feliciano treatment is the best way to go. If you can't get
that then try DIY.

I can only guestimate. I'd say both the volume and force of the ejaculate
expelled was about 50% greater after my cure.

The current thinking about blocked acini sacs might suggest that some
fluid from the prostate would not be expelled?
