Pain when urinating after ejaculation

I惴 being diagnosted for prostatitis two years ago for the first time (at
the age of 26). Since then the Inflammation comes and goes from time to
time.

I often get the urge to urinate after ejaculation. This urge is not so
strong - it愀 more a kind of a habit I got used to.

During the time of my illness I found out:
- when I resist this urge to urinate for about 20 Minutes I get no pain at
all
- when I don愒 resist this urge I get very uncomfortable pain (stinging or
burning) for about 3 quarter on an hour or in bad conditions I couldn愒
sleep the whole night and maybe the uncomfortable feeling stays the next day
and I have to walk to the doctor.

For me the described event has become a 100 % fact to me. Since I got this
experience I learned much better to cope with prostatitis.

My believe is, that this sensation is not only a symptom but at least part
of the cause of prostatitis in my case.

My questions are:
- is this a common symptom ?
- could the inflammation be caused by the flow of urine through the
prostate - could urine get into the still opend pores of the prostate ?

Aggravation of symptoms in association with ejaculation have been
experienced by not too few patients and is usually associated with seminal
vesiculitis. A semen analysis should make a diagnosis.
