Unfortunately the PVP equipment is much more expensive to operate.
The equipment is usually owned only by hospitals. Countries with
National Health service are not adoping it because of the expensive
equipment. Still not available in Canada and appears to be minimal in
UK. Some countries are beginning to realize that they may save in the
the long run with shorter hospital stays (Patient comfort is not an
issue).
Only pay for service I have seen mentioned here is the one in London.
Problem here is that the hospital tacks on about 50% to cover costs of
treating uninsured and the Dr. has to tack on a huge sum to cover his
malpractice insurance. Gotta keep John Edwards supplied with his $400
haircuts:-). Go outside the country and you don't have to pay those
fees.
