Does anyone know does Lyme disease cause panic attacks, anxiety and depression,
or can that happen secondary to the fact that you got a chronic illness.
Especially if you haven't had panic anxiety or depression. I just want to know
Does the actual disease cause this. If so what does someone do? Does the
antibiotic traetment help it or do you go to therapy or does antidepressants or
anti anxiety meds help it? I guess my biggest question is does it go away with
the antibiotic treatment. Thanks. Does anyone know of any good websites
relating to this.?

lyme can definately cause panic attacks, fear, anxiety, anger and all kinds of
strange symptoms. Antibiotics will eventually alleviate the symptoms and anti
depressants are helpful.

Yes, a lot of people report these symptoms here. I have experienced
them before I was on antibiotic treatment. Some people take
anti-depressants while just the antibiotics help others. Maybe you can
find a psychiatrist who also is familiar with Lyme symptoms.
