Pfizer and Yale are going to perform more of the very same
ignorant and incompetent drug research, because they can't
make money off of what would really be neuroprotective.
Receptor or Transporter blocking is the *WRONG* mechanism
of pharmacology. 1) They will always be toxic. 3) This is the
wrong direction of research. You don't START with the drug and
define an "illness" to fit it.
This is just amazing, but all the proof anyone needs that neither
Pfizer or Yale are interested in medicine or healing, but profit.
They're
gonna lose.
Answer this question for yourselves: Are people who take street
drugs demented? Street drugs are simply a higher concentration
psychotropic. They have the EXACT same mechanism of action.
These RETARDS at Yale haven't even defined schizophrenia yet, nor
do they mind the fact that it means 4 totally different phenomena, nor
do they seem to be the least bit interested in identifying the most
devastating one: Early Dementia. I saw one such case of this
at CVH. The woman was about 40, and she just walked right up
to people and started talking to them as if they were involved in
her delusional past.
*THAT* is dementia like Alzheimer's. Her diagnosis was schizophrenia.
She will become more demented because no one has identified
the medical reason for her cognitive impairment. And even MORE
interesting, the CVH staff went into orbit when I mentioned these
things.
Facts make psychiatrists angry. 'Which is a true sign of what
could be defined as a "mentally illness," or CRAZY.
Take it upon yourselves, to discover what is a drug. There are only
a few classes of real drugs. Insulin is a copy of a natural product.
Antimicrobials are mimics of the concept of allelopathy. Cancer
agents target the mechanism of generation of errant DNA and
rapid cell division. There really aren't many other real DRUGS
that aren't natural products or nutrients. Psych meds are nothing
more than brain anesthetics or speed, like like heroin or cocaine.
Antiinflammatories are drugs, although they have a bad reputation.
The reason for that is that many arthritis processes are due to
infection
and not "autoimmunity." Why cure it, when you can have someone
on Rx arthritis drugs for years on end?
If you really knew what BigPharma was about....
You're supposed to run all the valid lab tests and find out where
people fall within a matrix of markers, and then just SLIGHTLY
tweek here and there. Some things we have no drugs for are
what happens to borreliosis patients, which is a multileveled
diminution of immune function, and a whole slew of wacky
lymphocytes that don't meet the formal definition of a cancer.

If a person is really sick, and they can't get medical help,
wouldn't they look for answers themselves? This is what is
going on in the Lyme world. I'm just a plain old analytical
chemist. Just someone who takes stuff apart. I'm not
a drug designer. I did not work in Drug Metabolism. Perhaps
this is what is necessary here- true ANALYTICAL METHODS
DEPLOYMENT, once we get past Yale's chronic problem
with reality.

Yale Opens Center To Speed Disease Research

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Yale University opened a research center Thursday
that will
use the latest scanning technology to more quickly identify and treat
diseases.
The center will allow researchers to use high resolution imaging to
more
accurately and rapidly determine whether a drug is reaching its target
in the
brain and other tissues.
That could speed the approval of new drugs and allow earlier decisions
on
whether to embark on large clinical trials or abandon drugs before
investing
large sums of money.
Pfizer Inc., the world's largest drug maker and a contributor to the
center, recently halted development of cholesterol drug
torcetrapib because of safety concerns. The company had spent $800
million
hoping the new drug would be its next blockbuster.
The center will use Positron Emission Tomography (PET), a noninvasive
diagnostic
scanning technique that provides visual images of how organs are
functioning.
The 22,000-square-foot facility cost $20 million and is located near
the Pfizer
Clinical Research Unit in New Haven. PET scans at the new center will
confirm
the safety and effectiveness of potential new treatments being tried at
the
unit.
The center will initially focus on research into diseases such as
schizophrenia,
depression, anxiety disorders and alcoholism.
The technology also will enable researchers to identify patients with
specific
molecular abnormalities and to select the right drugs to treat changes
such as
increases or decreases in brain chemicals or receptors.
