hepatitis mag did a short interview with me,, and local newspaper,and
television stations,,did a short piece on hep c,,,,and now they want to
do ,a focus piece on hep-c... and im trying to gather as much info as
possible,, they were especially interested in celebrities and
musicians, that have it ,, maybe more positive roll models like naomi
judd .. any info would be appreciated thanks DAVE

There are plenty of musicians and celebrities that have HCV, there are
many that have had transplants due to HCV. From my observation they don't
openly speak out. They tend to be silent advocates. Nothing like Elton
John and HIV and the rest of Hollywood.
My petition was a full page editorial in Hepatitis mag as well as a follow
up interview. All I know that any of us can do, is continue to speak out
when we are given the chance.
You are aware they dropped this newsgroup as a source of Hepatitis
information?

I think Bobo the gorilla also died from liver failure due to hepc. He
was a needle freak and junkie if ever there was one. Thats why he layed
around all day picking fleas off his ass and dreaming of the good old
days in the jungle.

Great "role model" for those of us living with the virus.
News flash: there is no "cure", she is in REMISSION. She tests with no viral
DNA found. Good for her. Call me in 20 years.

A role model to ME is someone surviving with the infection and actually
LIVING, not devoting life to being sick.
