Bone calcification medicine?

To whom it may concern,
I would like to know if there is anyone who know of a drug called,
Clodronate? This drug calcificates bone, it hinders bone from leaving
bone and going into ther bloodstream. If there is a drug that is sold
here in the States or Mexico with another name I would really like to know
about it. My mother has bone cancer, we heard that this medicine can help
prevent bone absorption. If anyone knows the chemical compound of this
medicine please let me know about it so I can help my mother through this
tough time in her life. Thank You.
