Is there another heart topic newsgroup? Without Chung?

I really enjoy reading various subject newsgroups. Over the years, as my
interests have changed, I've always been able to find quite a number of
groups on which I could pleasantly participate.
Unfortunately, this seems to be the only heart health oriented group I
can find, and:

It is totally dominated by one HUGE ASSHOLE. Jesus Christ Chung, get a
fucking life outside of your keyboard. You have to jump on EVERY FUCKING
subject, and blab on & on with your bullshit quasi-religious crap.

I would filter his bullshit out, but Thunderbird does not seem to be
able to block newsgroup postings.

Signed,
Bummed out heart attack survivor.

I am afraid you will have to scan through all of Chung's stuff or look
elsewhere.

The lesson is that just because someone is able to have an MD and a
PhD after their name means they were able to get those degrees at one
time, but nothing about them now.

From reading what he says, looking at all the work his web site takes,
his self-publishing his book and that he has done this on medical
sites, he is probably mentally ill, but still able to function as a
troll - some people get their fun by this behavior - it is pathetic
that some can only have fun at others expense.

SMC could be spared 'doctor" Chung's nonsense if the group were
moderated.

The way to really deal with Chung and those like him, is to ignore his
posts and responses and only respond to serious posts and responses.
It takes two to troll - the troller and the trollee and without the
trollee the troller gets no feed back which they need to survive and
either babble on to no one or wither on the vine..

Well, you could check the net out (not newgroups.) Newsgroups are rarely
moderated anymore and if you find a decent support site on the internet,
it's sure to be moderated and people like The Wanger (or Chung-if you will)
wouldn't last more than two posts before getting flushed.

It's hardly possible to block Chung's posts, doubtless he has many sock
accounts that he uses on a daily basis, or, that are used as backups.
Complaining to his ISP is a waste of time. He has 16 hours a day to stock
this group and believe me, every minute is devoted to just that. Here is
one group that seems decent, I'll post the link below.

Sorry about your heart troubles, I certainly hope the coming year brings
better health!

Really need to be very careful with information from an unmoderated
usenet group where anyone can pose as anything. Even in moderated
groups, need to be careful as it depends on the moderator as to what
gets posted. Imagine a group moderated by Andrew BotBrainedBabel
Chung.

Even as "support groups" you never really know who is who and if they
are what they say. Some people take a perverse pleasure in trying to
hurt people and some just do not know any better.

Good advice is to stick with established sites like webmd, emedicine,
American Heart Association, Mayo and Cleveland Clinics, and sites that
end with .edu. Do not take what one site says without confirming that
other sites are in basic agreement

Absolutely, remember the saying, garbage in, garbage out and what
Chung offers is medical garbage.

sun for days rotting away

You do realize the potential irony in posting that in an unmoderated
usenet group, right?

Absolutely - but what is important in these groups is does it pass the
"sniff test."

Advice needs to taken with some skepticism and a good sense of smell
in these groups. Even in moderated groups need skepticism and a good
sense of smell - image Andrew B. (BotBrainedBabel) Chung moderating a
group.

Thanks for everyone's feedback.
I have browsed through many websites while trying to educate myself.

All glory to GOD for HIS power behind these rebukes that have reduced
you to a blathering idiot, satan.

May we, we have been clothed with power from on high since we have
stopped sinning though we remain sinners, continue to rebuke you at
each GOD-given opportunity:

May dear neighbors, friends, and brethren have a blessedly wonderful
New Years Day ...

... by being hungrier:

http://TruthRUS.org/KnowingGOD

Hunger is wonderful :-)

It's how we know what GOD wants, which is what is good.

Yes, hunger is our knowledge of good versus evil that Adam and Eve
paid for with their and our immortal lives.

Those who suffer from the powerful delusion predicted by the prophecy
of 2 Thessalonians 2:9-11 would deny this and perish however:

Be hungry... be healthy... be hungrier... be blessed:

http://HeartMDPhD.com/HolySpirit/BeBlessed

"Blessed are you who hunger NOW...

... for you will be satisfied." -- LORD Jesus Christ (Luke 6:21)

Amen.
