The first has to do with various methods of improving laminar flow in pipes
or free flowing water streams to extend range. Some methods discussed were
atomically flat surfaces, piping at micro/nanoscale, and hydrophobic to
superhydrophobic surfaces.

The second deals with the problem of the water dispersing over long
distances or at high speeds by encasing it in a solid such as mud, ice, or
plastic.
