You are cordially invited to join the search for the next Mersenne prime.
I've created a program for Pentium and 486-based PCs to run Lucas-Lehmer
primality tests. I've also created a set of Web pages to organize the
search. The program can be downloaded from:
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/justforfun/prime.htm
These Web pages also let you "checkout" a range of primes to test.
There are over 24,000 primes under 1,000,000 that have not been tested.
